Contrasting...

I have the habit of occasionally glimpsing through the BBC headlines and I came across these two headlines which were like an epitome of what could be called "Contrasting".

This one talks about Life Expectancy of americans and this one is about the way americans are reducing the Afghan population.

Bearing a headline "US Slips down development index", the glimpse of the former article looks like this:
"Americans live shorter lives than citizens of almost every other developed nation, according to a report from several US charities.
The report found that the US ranked 42nd in the world for life expectancy despite spending more on health care per person than any other country. "

The latter one headlines "Doubts over US Afghan operations" and looks like:
"Local tribal elders claim dozens of people, including civilians, also died in the American attack.
On Thursday President Hamid Karzai visited families of those killed in the eastern province of Nangarhar who had reported that more than 50 people from a wedding party died after being bombed by American aircraft. "

It's an irony that america funds research on life expectancy of americans while trampling the lives on innocent mortals!!!
