El Museo Rafael Coronel

There are museums of art and history, of beer and sex, of nature and science...but during my recent visit to Zacatecas, I visited a museum of one of it's kinds. El Museo Rafael Coronel, is a museum full of masks!!! Funny, scary, laughing, frowning, weird are few of the words that can describe the masks. These 5000+ masks are from various indigenous groups from Mexico and other Latin American countries, used for religious rituals or dances. Below are some of the photographs from the museum. It's a must visit place for all those who visit Zacatecas.
